Welcome to the Official Web-page of the Utah Old Time Fiddlers and Country Music Association. We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, perpetuation, and enjoyment of Old Time music. Our purpose is to encourage musicians of all ages, and to provide them with opportunities to improve their skills by performing in public. If you live in Utah, and enjoy the music of the fiddle tradition, then this is the place for you.
Our chapters hold regular jam sessions, and are also available to play for special occasions. If you would like to arrange a performance, please contact the chapter chairpersons nearest you. If you’d like to know more, please feel free to contact one of our club officers on the State Organization page, or email the admin.

Our spring social will be held on Saturday, March 14 at the West Valley City Hall. This event will be hosted by the Salt Lake chapter and includes a pot luck luncheon. Please bring a dish to share. Meat will be provided. Thanks once again to the Salt Lake chapter for being such gracious hosts!
This is the 1st Annual, Pioneer Chapter, Camp-Jam-Potluck Social!
Our event will take place at the Trapper’s group camp site at Ft Buenaventura in Ogden. The event starts at 1:30PM, and takes the place of our regularly scheduled jam session.
This will be a pot luck dinner. Please bring a dish to share.
– Jamming begins at 1:30PM and continues until 10PM when the park closes (or until everyone leaves).
– This is a group camping area, and our fees are paid. This means that any Pioneer chapter member who wishes to camp overnight may do so. There is a covered pavilion, electric power is available, and we have four fire rings. Up to 50 persons can attend. After that, there is a $1.25 per person surcharge. Because of this, we will ask all non-members to bring $1.25 per person to cover the added expense.
– Those who do opt to stay overnight must depart before noon on the following morning.

Our annual Canyonlands Concert Tour will be held between July 10 and July 18 this year. The Hitch’n Post Campground in Panguitch is our base camp for the entire Concert Tour this year. Call 1-435-676-2436 for reservations. Check with Jodi & Randy about rates for association members. To ensure a spot, please RSVP with the campground as early as possible if you plan to attend. You will need a deposit to reserve your spot.
Also, for those persons who prefer not to camp, the Hitch’n Post has a one bedroom suite available for rental. The suite has a kitchenette, bathroom and bed. Details are on Hitch’n Post’s website.
There is usually a pot-luck social in the middle of the week, and plenty of jamming most days.

Arrive and set up camp – Friday July 10, 2015.
Mandatory rehearsal for the first concert is 3 PM Friday, July 10.
Grand Canyon Concert (Grand Canyon Lodge, North Rim) is July 11, 2015
Panguitch Concerts are July 16,17, 2015
Cannonville Concert is July 18, 2015
Break camp and head for home: Sunday July 19, 2015.
The Pioneer chapter serves the greater Ogden area. Our jam sessions are held twice a month on the First and Third Saturdays. Our usual venue at Weber State University is unavailable on this Saturday, so we have a reservation at the Weber County Main Branch Library instead. We will be in the auditorium, downstairs.
The annual get-together will be Potluck this year–please read below.

This event is closed to non-members and an RSVP is required to attend. Seating is limited and an accurate headcount is required ahead of time. Please contact Doug Anderson for details or to RSVP no later than January 5th.

You are free to come or go as you like. Bring your instrument – any “fiddle compatible” instrument is welcome (guitar, banjo, harmonica, mandolin, dulcimer, etc).
